Come on, little dwarf! Don't be sad! Oh, you're hurting? But look at yourself, you're not injured. The pain is inside you? I'm terribly sorry, my child. It'll go away soon, I promise, just try not to think about it right now. See those stairs at the end of the tunnel? Look familiar? I know, I know, I made them just for you. I made something else for you, too, you just have to follow me down those stairs. Wait... can you hear that sound? It's like... hundreds of people were having a big party! I think they're waiting for us. Come on now. I'm sure all your friends are there.

Finally the tiny but stocky creature wiped the tears from his face and took the ancient woman by her warm hand. The wrinkled, withered hand was small even to his child's hand, but holding it the dwarf realized he didn't hurt anymore. The friendly old lady gave him a reassuring smile, and together they descended the enormous and very familiar flight of stairs down where flickering lights, sounds of laughter and singing and merriment came.

What's that? My name? I... It's just that I'm not often asked for my name, and I'm a little bit old, you see, it's sometimes hard to remember. I've understood that your friends used to call me Mondul...

Good night, little Dwarf. Good night, Gemclod.

Key: Various
Metre: Various
Overseer: Jazzimus Prime

I don't really have much to say about this one. It was a lot of fun to do though! I made the slightly awkward decision of keeping the tempos and keys of all the respective themes intact though which was challenging to work around, especially since I was doing every theme in order of year of overseership. So all in all the key changes go like this:

Gm - C - G - C#m - Ab - G - Am - Bb - C - Cm - Eb - A - Gm

Hmm, quite. A wide spread of keys for the themes surprisingly enough, only C and G major get used more than once. Nothing centred round D or F though... DF...

I was originally going to do a separate theme for Jazzimus, but it was difficult when there was no dwarf to focus on, and I wasn't sure exactly what sort of tone to go for either. Then I thought a medley would be cool.
