Clash of the Underground Titans, Part 1: The Debate

With the fall of Gemclod, Dwarfalla was filled with great heroes. Enzer, Minty, Repelex, Nimby and Yeol stood as the greatest heroes in dwarven history. Their reward in the great afterlife was an eternity of fighting until they could fight no more, and then feasting and drinking until they could feast no more, only to return to the battlefield. Entire armies of humans, goblins, kobolds and elves, including those arrogant, charged at these great heroes, only to fall to their mighty blades; all in the honor of Kudust Axematched.

Etur, the Dye of Irons, stood beside Kudust as they watched the endless battles. "These brave dwarves fought many monsters in their time...many beasts we once left in the depths of the world to guard the adamantine pillars sealing the underworld. These mortal foes are no match for them."
Kudust nodded solemnly. "Alas, I am forced to agree. But, I cannot decide which one of our forgotten beasts can be considered the greatest foe of Gemclod."

Sirab too overheard their conversation, and walked over to Etur and Kudust. "Certainly it is Roresa!"
"Which Roresa?" Etur replied, for she remembered naming two forgotten beasts by that name.
Sirab laughed heartily, his voice booming like the vast mountains. "Does it matter? If it does, then the second Roresa, whom finished off the Curled Wall for good, whom the mortals still fight against below."

Onshen giggled and laughed with glee as he danced over to the other gods and goddesses. "Surely it is the lovely Cuthabe!"
Kudust shook his head, but never took his eyes on the battle below. "Cuthabe waited below Gemclod, but never once fought any of the dwarves."
"Exactly! The mightiest beast is the one left unfought!"

Mondul too stepped forward, cradling the skull of Slitheredlow in her bony hands. "Keihao, with it's savage dust." She said simply.
"Too easy!" Onshen sung out.
"It was suicide for the first dwarves whom faced it." She chuckled softly, remembering seeing the courage vanish from those soldier's eyes as they suffocated on Keihao's dust.

"Then surely it was Nol, no other beast terrified Gemclod for so long." Deg, the West Trade, said as he rolled up on his mighty wagon.
"But Nol was one of the first to fall!" Sirab protested
"Because Nol was the first to arrive!"

"Must we all argue so early in the eon?" Mishos Oraclesongs, the Skirt of Esteem, said, "Surely there is a better way to solve this delimma!"
"What do you propose, Mishos?" Kudust asked.
"A grant royal battle! These beasts are so brutish, they would destroy anything they saw, including each other. Why not let them fight in the great Arena!" Mishos pointed off in the distance, the circular arena surrounded by water.

Kudust chuckled, and smiled. "Very well. It shall be so."
