I think I handled the issues of a two-overseer song quite nicely.
This piece... came about in a fairly unusual way. It was originally going to be a bit of a parody of these 'serious' piano-driven pop songs you hear these days, you know the ones I'm talking about. Lower- to middle-register chords that fill whole bars while the singer sing over them. But then I became intrigued by another kind of piano-pop where it's dominated mostly by broken chords, usually inspired by soul music. They all sound kinda bland really, so I shouldn't have been surprised when the end result was... well, kinda bland. Still, the idea of a song in this style with the title 'Tree Killer' was too funny to pass up.
